PGI Student Portal

Cookie Policy

Prof. Greg's Institute (PGI) Student Portal · Last updated 23 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies used by the PGI Student Portal, run by Prof. Greg's Institute. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, so it can remember something between pages, for example that you are logged in.

2. The short version

  • The portal uses only the cookies it needs to work: to keep you logged in securely.
  • It uses no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no analytics (no Google Analytics, Facebook or similar).
  • No cookies are used to follow you on other websites, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
  • Because these cookies are strictly necessary, the portal does not ask for your consent to them, and there is no cookie banner.

3. The cookies we use

  • sb-…-auth-token

What it does: Keeps you logged in after you enter your email and password, so you don't have to log in on every page. It holds a coded login pass, not your password. It may be split into parts (ending .0, .1).

How long: Until you log out, or up to 400 days if you never do. The login inside it is renewed regularly and stops working when you log out.

  • sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier

What it does: A one-time security check used only when you open a link from our emails (confirming your email or resetting your password).

How long: Normally removed as soon as the link has been used.

  • pgi_preview

What it does: Only for school staff, before the portal opens to students: lets a staff member's device see the portal through a private preview link. Students never get it.

    How long: 30 days.

These cookies are set by the portal itself (its login service is provided by Supabase). They are sent only to the portal, which is reached over a secure (https) connection.

4. Other storage

The portal does not store anything else in your browser for tracking. Pictures and receipts you upload are sent to the school's private storage, not kept in your browser.

5. Your choices

  • Use Log out when you finish, especially on a shared phone or a cyber café computer. This removes the login.
  • You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, you can still read public pages such as this one, but you will not be able to log in to the portal.

6. Changes and questions

If we start using any other cookie, we will update this page and its date first. Questions: use the Help page or email fortunechika548@gmail.com.
